However, since counselling tends to awaken unpleasant feelings and difficult memories, people sometimes feel worse before they feel better. Some find that by experiencing new thoughts and behaviors, relationships with others are altered or disrupted. You will be encouraged to share with us feelings of anxiety, worry or doubt about the consultation process at any time during your meetings. This confidentiality agreement would normally be part of a broader agreement called a declaration of consent. In some circumstances, a therapist may want to have separate forms to address the different issues that make up the declaration of consent. This can allow a better understanding of the customer in each of the areas that could arise. In this case, I will provide the proposal for the confidentiality agreement.
